REHABILITATION-
Disciples making disciples- ex-offenders helping
ex-offenders

Friends- this is my testimony;
when I was walking the prison track in 1996, God appeared to
me through His holy scriptures in the form of Jesus Christ.
During my incarceration, I studied the Word eight hours per
day. In the remaining hours, I was in deep prayer seeking
God's face. If it was not for my relationship with His Son,
I would have nothing! Such as no job, car, drivers license,
home, wife, or life period. I probably would be back behind
the barbed wire.
Since coming out of prison, does your
life seem unmanageable? Has your transition back into
society been successful or unsuccessful? I encourage you to
open the door of your heart and allow Christ to come in and
do some deep cleaning...He's standing their and He's
knocking! Do you hear the knock? Then open the door. Stop
allowing your flesh to be in control of your life and begin
to allow Jesus to be in control. Once you do, some amazing
things will begin to happen in your life. Trust me!

CHAPLAIN KURT & MARCIA GLOVER
After becoming a Licensed Minister/
Chaplain for the Church of the Nazarene, I see a great need
for rehabilitation for men and women coming out of prison.
If there is no rehabilitation for the ex-offender, the
percent rate sky rockets for recidivism. Building a
relationship with Jesus Christ is a key essential for
someone coming out of incarceration. Self-centeredness
cannot happen anymore. You must give the keys of your life
back to God and then jump to the back seat, as He
begins to drive your course of life. Think about it; when
you were driving your life course, where did it take you? To
prison... Is that where you want to drive again?
For me, I do drive to prison, but only
to teach our curriculum. The good news is; I come back home
the same day. CFTI is currently the only faith-based
nonprofit in western Michigan that has a pre & post
incarceration program. There are a lot of great programs
going into the prison system, but what happens when your
released? It becomes a dead end street. Now, this is no more
with our services.
I'm very thankful for God's grace that
has allowed me into His family. If it was not for Calvary,
You would not be visiting this website.
In His grip,
Chaplain Kurt Michael
